Meet our Doctors
Dr. Allan Hum was born and raised in Toronto. He graduated from the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 1994. As part of his schooling, Dr. Hum did a clinical rotation at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta which specialized in clinical pathology. After graduation, he practiced in Pickering and Oshawa before opening this practice in Richmond Hill in 1996. He has extensive experience co-managing refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Carolyn Wong was born and raised in Calgary. She graduated from the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. She worked across the GTA in Brampton, Whitby, and Newmarket, before joining this practice in 2002. She has extensive experience seeing patients with glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and macular degeneration while previously working part-time in an ophthalmology clinic. She has helped co-manage pediatric patients with strabismus and amblyopia. Dr. Wong had refractive surgery in 1996 herself and she is able to share her personal experiences with you if you’re thinking of having LASIK or PRK.
Dr. Hum and Dr. Wong completed a comprehensive course on Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a result, they have the ability and expertise to prescribe medications for various eye diseases. Through the Brien Holden Institute and Coopervision, they completed training on Myopia Control Treatment. They are actively treating myopic children with the use of MiSight contact lenses or low-dose atropine eyedrops to slow down the progression of their myopia.
